Opening an email file

I have a number of saved pictures on a floppy disk that will not open. I
get a message "Windows cannot open this file. Windows needs to know what
program created it". How do I find the program Norm

Sorry, you've asked this question on a forum for questions about Microsoft
Access, the database product.

Having said that, your problem is probably what it says - the pictures were
created using a program that used a format that the programs that are
installed on your computer doesn't recognise. The problem may be as simple as
the fact that the picture files have an extension that isn't associated with
a program - try opening Start -> Program -> Accessories -> Paint, and then
using File -> Open on the file and sese if Paint recognises it. Or if you've
got Microsoft Phtot Editor, so much the better. If neither of those work, try
asking over in the general Windows forum.
