Opening an Access Application

I created an Access application last year and now need to make some changes
but I can't get it to open in design mode. I think there is a key combination
in Windows Explorer that allows it to open id design mode. Does anyone know
what this is?

did you try to hold down SHIFT key while starting the application.

Does it open the main form?
If that the case, open the MDB while the shift key press

Do you get an error?
If so, what is the error?

The MDB window open, you can see the object list, but can't update them?
Are you trying to open MDE file, in that case you can't update the objects:
forms, reports, modules

Try to open the *.mdb file by double-clicking the file name in Windows
Explorer while holding dowm "SHIFT" key. You may have to try several times.

I'm trying to open the mdb file and it opens to the main form.

I hold the shift key down and hit enter in Windows Explorer and it still
opens the main form and there are no options to go into design mode.

I see that the shift key worked after all, another option will be, if the
application start with the main form open, you can press the F11 key, it will
bring the database windows to the front
