Opening a folder

If I double click on a folder it goes to search rather than opening.
Obviously I messed up again but where do I change it?

It was nothing that you have done,seems to be more common lately.
Their is a registry edit that will fix this,run the edit on line 18 rt. side
here.

You may? need to reboot for this to take effect.
