Opening a file off a disk

I've been using a excel workbook for a project I'm working
on. Unfortunately I forgot to save a back up and now the
disk will not let me open the file with all the
information on it. When I try to open the file a window
comes up that says the file cannot be accessed. The file
may be read-only (but I checked in the properties and it's
not) or I may be trying to access a read-only location. Or
the server the document is saved on might not be
responding. I really need to get this file open.

Are you able to email it yourself by attaching it to an email via the attach window in say
outlook.

DO NOT Save or Open files directly to/from a floppy disk. Save the file to
your Hard Drive first then copy to floppy.

When opening, copy to Hard Drive then open. Hopefully your file will copy and
open. It could be hooped.
