Open With... Help

Whenever I try to set a certain program as the default program to open a
certain file type, it doesn't appear in the list. Why is this happening and
how can I fix it?

I'm using Windows XP Home Edition Version 5.1

Phil,

In the Open With dialog, click the Browse button and then locate the
program. The program should get added to the dialog usually.

Phil,

Thanks for replying, but that's the problem; it doesn't show up in either Recommended Programs or Other Programs. I right-clicked on the file, clicked on "Open With...", clicked Browse, selected the program and clicked Open, but it doesn't show up in either of the lists.
