Open with file

when I right click a jpeg picture and then `open with`, photoshop does not
appear on the list of options, but photoshop is installed on the computer.
how do i get this to appear on the list of options.

Hi Juco,

Use the "Browse" button in the Choose Programs dialog, and point to Photoshop's executable file. It should add to the list (usually) nex time.

I tried this still not appearing . Maybe I should do an uninstall and re
install.

What's the executable name? Is the Executable listed in this registry path?

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\{AppName.exe}\shell\open\command]

Example - Notepad's registration is present here:

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\Notepad.exe\shell\open\command]
(default) set to %SystemRoot%\system32\NOTEPAD.EXE %1

Another checkpoint:

Make sure that the "NoOpenWith" does not exist in the right-pane here:
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\{AppName.exe}]

I got lost in the directory so uninstalled/ re installed and all is fine
now.
