"Open With" dialog box

How can I add to the contents of this box?
I want to replace WMP9 with Classic Media Player for .wmv files.
Attempts to change by browsing to the CMP .exe filedoesn't work.
Trying to change associations for .wmv files in Control Panel also fails.
Ideally, I'd like to edit the contents of the dialog box, but can't find out
how...

Is the "Classic Media Player" a third-party program, or are you referring to Windows Media Player 6.4 as the classic one?

The program is Media Player Classic V.6.4.9.0.
That link is exactly what I was looking for, but couldn't find on Google.
