How can I add the Newsgroups Folder, containg Newsgroups I've subscribed to,
to the main Folder list in Outlook? As of now I have to go to ViEW>Go
To>News etc. There must be a better way.

outlook doesn't do news, it uses OE - the way you do it is the only way. you
can customize the toolbar (tools, customize) to bring the news menu up a
level or two.

I have discovered that Outlook is not a good news client - I recommend
Forte Free Agent (freeware) which handles news much better.

I'm assuming you run on Windows. Why fuss with yet another software program
when you have Outlook Express? Why not make OE your Newsreader and put a
News button on your Outlook toolbar . Denzil.

Hi!

It is better to have all your mail including newsgroups in one
program. Of course, you may have no POP3 account in OE and send direct
e-mail replies to newsgroups posts with "big" Outlook, but you'll lost
such features as journaling. And in any case, you lost all features of
"big" OE, like reminders. It is critical for peoples who make business
in newsgroups.

It is for some people, yes, but not all people.
Of course, you may have no POP3 account in OE and send direct e-mail

Outlook doesn't, natively, support posting to newsgroups.
but you'll lost such features as journaling. And in any case, you lost all features of "big"
OE, like reminders.

There isn't any "big OE." OE and Outlook are separate programs that share
very little beyond the confusingly similar name.
It is critical for peoples who make business in newsgroups.

There is a program in beta test right now called "NewsLook" which will
let you access newsgroups in Outlook. When it ships (sometime this summer)
that will be a good solution for people who really want newsgroups in Outlook.
