Open new broswers windows with hyperlinks

I have a webpage that I am working on which uses frames. I have a interactive button that links to a pdf file that just opens in that frame but doesn't always give all the options to have the file or anything. Was wondering if there was a way to get the hyperlink to just open the pdf in a seperate window or just tell it that I want to make the file a download so it won't open the file at all.

sure! just select the hyperlink, right click, chose hyperlink properties,
hit the target frame button on the right side of the dialog box. chose "new
window" or _blank.

change the link target to "new window" in the hyperlinks dialogue box

to make the file download (without opening in Adobe reader) then ZIP (with
winzip) the file and link to the *.zip file - it will download automatically and
hopefully will also cut the file size to minimal to reduce download time.
