Open multiple Excel program windows

I need to find a simple way to open a new excel program
window whenever you double-click on an Excel file. I'm
using a dual monitor system, and I would like to be able
to open (double-click) an Excel document, move to monitor
2, then open another Excel Document (double-click) in
monitor 1.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Gord,

Thank you very much for your help! That worked great for
Excel 2002, but when I tried it with Excel 2000, and
opened a file (double-click) it opened a completely empty
(not blank) Excel window.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

I had this problem recently and found this solution. All well an
good.
However, it means that if you get an Excel spreadsheet as an outloo
attachment, when you double-click it, it says "The system could no
find the file specified". You have to save the attachment somewher
first.

Just installed XP SP3 and it still behaves poorly. I'd be intereste
to hear if it happens in Office 2003

I have Excel 2003 and it does the same thing. I am looking for the same answer as the rest of you. If you look through the internet there are several answers, of which none work. I have tried the "%1" thing and that did not work, I have tried the options in Excel and none of those work.

I have come to the conclusion that it is simply not possible and Microsoft is a complete group of idiots.
