Open Linked Sites

I am having problems with opening some links on website pages where it opens
and then disappears, I am running XP-SP2..
I have disabled pop up blocker and it still doesn't want to play ball

I have found the problem!!
When I go into Internet Options/Advanced and check Show friendly URLs, it's
causing the problem, never happened with SP-1
