Open Internet Shortcut in New Browser

I have created a shortcut on my desktop to a website. If I already have a
web page open, and I double click the shortcut, it opens the page in my
current browser. Is there a way to configure the shortcut so it opens the
page in a new browser?
Thank you
MATT

Hi MATT :)

Try this and see if it helps:

Go to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced tab>
Under Browser, scroll down and uncheck box next to 'Reuse windows for
launching shortcuts'

also..

Find "IExplore.exe"
Right-click and drag IExplore.exe to the desktop and choose "Create
shortcut." Right-click that shortcut> Properties> Target, modify the Target
to include the URL.
Example:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE"
becomes
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" www.yahoo.com
Note a space between " and w

You can then move that shortcut to any Favorites folder using Windows
Explorer.

Hope this helps :)
