open dialog folder

"cannot perform requested task as dialog folder open" appears when I try to
open a saved word file. This also appears when outlook is opened preventing
email from working. How do I stop this?

Close the dialog box which is probably hidden behind the application. This
is often caused by errant add-ins with Norton AV's Office Plug-in being the
prime candidate. Uncheck that program's Office Plug in option.

If you're using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the
Office Plugin that comes with it. See
