Open an Access97 file..

I have a .mdb file on a CD that was created with Access 97. When I try to
open it in my WinXP Access, it says that I must change to NOT 'read
only'....but then when I go to properties and un-check the 'read-only' box,
it won't allow that. Please help as I cannot open the file.

You would have the same problem with any file type. Files on a CD are
always read-only. You need to copy the file to media that is read/write,
i.e., your hard drive...and then remove the read-only attribute.
