I was wondering if anyone can assist me in opening a shortcut to a database
I have under 97. I have both AccessXP and 97 installed on my PC. If I open
Access 97 first and then direct it to the database I want to open there is
no problem, it will open under 97, however I have a shortcut on my Desktop
but everytime I click on it, it opens under XP

Any help would be great, do I change the detail of "Target" with the
shortcuts properties?

Thanks

If you don't want *all* mdb files to open with Access 97 (ie only the
database in question, you need to change your shortcut to:
"C:\<path to access 97>\MSACCESS.EXE" C:\\\<97database>.mdb
(Use double quotes for the path to the mdb if there are spaces in the path
or filename).

If you want them all to open with this version just change the file
association to point to the old version.
