open a pst file created with outlook2003 from outlook2007

PST files created with OutLook2003 is unable to open with OutLook2007. It
even cannot be imported. Any solution for this!
 
The files are perfectly compatible. There is end user error involved if you
can't open the file. State what you did to the file to cause the problem.
