When starting up I keep receiving error messages . The most frequent is that
the computer cannot upload windows due to a DLL kernel go to technical
support for help. If it doesn't nominate the kernel it's another file. If I
hit the ESC key it will upload using the xp original disc in the CD
compartment. I traced one of the files (cannot) remember its name at the
moment and I traced it in the original disc. Could I just copy from the
original cd onto the computer even though it's smaller than the file on the
computer. Do I have to do a complete reinstall? If so I would like to do it
on a formatted disc. If I format the disc would I have to copy the OS on to
another HD or will the original disc part automatically from the CD?
I noticed that it was possible to tranfer all my programs using the transfer
wizard. Although it does say " new computer" on the transfer wizard could I
just use an external hard disc ? Hope that's all clear ;0]

Please include the complete, exact text of error messages you see. Also
tell us exactly which version of Windows you have (including service
pack.) Were any changes made to the computer recently, or do you have
any clues as to why you started seeing error messages?

Please post copies of all Error and Warning Reports appearing in the
System and Application logs in Event Viewer relating to the last boot in
normal mode . No Information Reports or Duplicates please. Indicate
which also appear in a previous boot.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning
of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description
are important.

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from
Event Viewer.

Hope this helps.
