Microsoft preps 133 patches for Windows DNS hole!!! Now 'dems alot of
patches. Too bad MickeyMouse has such a hard time getting it right the
first time. It's no wonder the world and especially the business community
is getting totally fed up with Microsoft.

http://news.com.com/8301-10784_3-9710490-7.html

Even Dell is now going back to offer XP with their computers because Vista
is such a p.o.s. Vista, the largest flop in computer history.

Love and Kisses,
Doris

PS. As you read this messages, millions of computer users are downloading
the newest Ubuntu.

Oh Doris! I feel as if I've been violated! I accidently downloaded the 6
series version that thing you recommended...what's it
called...Ubuttoo...or something like that...and guess what ...now it
wants to download another 122=+ patches! Most of them security patches!
Why? I though you told me it was not vulnerable to those nasty hacker
types! You told me that didn't you. What is that all about? After all
these years they need that many patches?
Well Doris...what can I say. Mislead again by LT and his gang of
....oh...phonies!

Hi Sweet Doris:
Do you really believe Frank downloaded Ubuntu?
I was talking with a salesman today at Dell. He is going to contact me,
as soon as he has a laptop loaded with Ubuntu. Soon I will be able to
relax and laze around on my bed and eat bon bons while I connect to my
wireless router and look at...without worrying about Viruses, Infections,
Spyware, Trojans and Adware.

Well, have a nice night
Love,
Bill

It is fun though!

Microsoft will lose no sleep over continued sales of XP.

Now that development of XP has ceased the profit margin
on each copy sold is huge and customers will still migrate
to Vista in due course.

Talking of the largest flops... do you remember when Windows
was going to annihilated by OS2?

Doh!

I should bloody well hope so... the release is less than a day old!

Scoop... Vista SP1 needs no patches!

Vista SP1 *is* a patch. Regardless, surfing with Linux is a million
times safer than with a sieve like Windows.

Classic!!! You'll notice these linux freaks have completely dodged the fact
that their precious Ubuntu requires MANY patches? Then they compare it to a
version that was just released? Vista on day 1 didn't require any patches
either. Just wait 6 months and we'll see how many patches this linux distro
requires. I also like the diversion tactic! Just cry about being insulted.
That always works.

Plus, this quantity of 133 is being misunderstood. Vista will not require
133 patches so you can't even begin to compare that number. What the heck
does this news have to do with Dell going back to offering XP? They are not
going to stop offering Vista. dorris is so completely far out in left field
that I doubt a reasonable thought can find the light of day!

You need to divide 133 by the number of server versions then divide again by
the number of languages. How can anyone possibly compare that to a single
windows version? They can't.

Um, updates for Ubuntu are not all patches and Ubuntu updates *every*
program you have installed, not just the OS. Fact is, Windows is much
less secure than Linux. This is an irrefutable fact so stop trying.

Now, be a good little boy and go clean out your temp files, defrag your
C drive, update your anti virus, all your anti-spy/mal/ad/ware programs
and then go update Office. While you're at it, update T-Bird and
whatever other program you have on your machine. Note, you have to do
these updates one at a time and you need to know they're available in
the first place! Oh, and be sure to take a couple hours out of your day
and run all the anti virus and anti malware apps.

Another irrefutable fact (one we're actually talking about) is that linux
requires security patches just like every other OS. So stop trying.

Now, be a good little boy and go clean out your temp files

Why? I need most of them are still needed. They CAN be deleted at a cost.
defrag your C drive

Automatic. No need to.
update your anti virus, all your anti-spy/mal/ad/ware programs

Automatic. No need to.
and then go update Office.

There are no updates.
While you're at it, update T-Bird and whatever other program you have on
your machine. Note, you have to do these updates one at a time and you
need to know they're available in the first place!

Ignorance. Windows update, updates all windows apps as well as many other
apps. Are you expecting Microsoft to update Adobe products? I would never
expect them to.

So what exactly was your point?
Oh, and be sure to take a couple hours out of your day and run all the
anti virus and anti malware apps.

??? If you think this is true then you're an idiot, plain and simple. You
have no clue. A good app will catch as it receives. There is no need to
ever run a scan unless you feel your app was compromised.
Vista: the death of Windows

Hahahaha! What's the matter poor alias? Now you wont run Vista when SP1
comes out? After all, if it's the DEATH of Windows, why would you?

You are a laugh and a half alias.

I'm downloading ubuntu and it BETTER run as your mouth claims. I have 8
machines to try it on and if it doesn't work at least 90% on all of them
then it fails.

Very few, especially compared to Windows. So, as you agreed, it is an
irrefutable fact that Linux is MUCH more secure than Windows will ever be.
Why? I need most of them are still needed. They CAN be deleted at a cost.

LOL! I thought you knew something about Windows. I guess I was wrong.
Automatic. No need to.

Oh, I forgot, Vista does it all by itself. Heaven help you if something
screws it up.
Automatic. No need to.

You're not using the right anti malware programs, then.

I have changed my mind. Since MS made it impossible for me to buy a
generic OEM copy of Vista without also buying a new PC, I have no
interest in Vista anymore except to warn people on this newsgroup and
encourage them to install a real OS. I will not spend over 700 US
dollars on Vista. If you can't understand that, you're hopeless.
You are a laugh and a half alias.
Charming.

I type with my fingers, not my mouth. You?

Considering that you'll be installing it, all bets are off.

I suppose linux has no way of defragging a HD then? Heaven help you!

You're not using the right anti malware programs, then.

So your saying the correct anti-malware programs should be updated manually?
Whats wrong with one that does it automatically???
There will be, hundreds of them.

I don't think there's a single programs or OS out there that has never been
updated or won't be updated. I suppose your still running version 1.0 of
ubuttoo?

I would hope you would know their available if you were the one installing
them in the first place.
Ubuntu does it. It updates *all* the programs on your computer.

Actually, I believe once everyone starts writing software for vista it will
be the same way. It already downloads 3rd party driver updates.
LOL! And I thought you knew something about Windows.

You obviously don't.

BS. All lies. You are adding up all Windows updates and comparing them to
one distro of linux. Get a clue.
LOL! I thought you knew something about Windows. I guess I was wrong.

It's ok alias, we all know you talk out of your rear. I have no intention
of deleting files that will just be downloaded again for each site I
normally visit. Next time, make sure you clearly state WHICH temp files.

Oh, I forgot, Vista does it all by itself. Heaven help you if something

Such as? As usual this makes no sense. File handling is file handling.
What's going to happen? Is the power going to turn off in the middle of
defragging? So what! Information is WRITTEN before it's removed.
You're not using the right anti malware programs, then.

In your dreams! So this is your defense? Weak!

There will be, hundreds of them.

Hundreds? BS. All lies. Nothing but lies come from you.
Ubuntu does it. It updates *all* the programs on your computer.

Wow! So ubuntu knocks on every vendors door and get all patches from them?
All hundreds of thousands of vendors?

BS.

Exactly! Nothing was your point.

LOL! And I thought you knew something about Windows.

So this is your point? Because it does not take me HOURS to protect a
machine then I know nothing?

You do realize that everyone can read this right?

Hilarious!!!

More clueless remarks from alias. You can buy the OEM version of Vista from
just about any online vendor without having to buy hardware with it.
I type with my fingers, not my mouth. You?

Speech recognition.
Considering that you'll be installing it, all bets are off.

Typical linux BS.
