Only the Best spyware from coolwebsearch.com HELP!!!

Loads of people seem to be having the same problem but I can't find a
solution that works for me.

IE home page keeps resetting to about:blank, I keep getting pop-up for
adverts with the title "Only the Best", when ever I do a google search
I get redirected to www.lookfor.cc or search-to-find.com.

I've ran Norton, spyBot and CWShredder1.exe with out any success.

Ad-Aware SE Personal seems to identify the problem as coolwebsearch
but it crashes when trying to delete everything, I ran it in safe mode
and it deleted everything but all the files came back when I rebooted
the computer.

Can anyone help as this is driving me crazy.

If all else fails, then the problem could be something new that the
spyware cleaners above don't have in their databases yet. In that case....
HijackThis direct download:

Then post it's output log to the forum here for analysis and feedback by the

has anyone seen any collective legal action against firms such as
coolwebsearch or other spyware firms? Wouldn't a class action suit
against these companies catch their attention?

I got rid of it!!

Thanks for everyones advise, I used the steps at:
http://www.pchell.com/support/onlythebest.shtml
and then ran 'Ad-Aware SE Personal' which removed more traces. I then
still found it on the hard disc and in the startup procedure(msconfig)
where I manualy deleted it.
