I can't find out an easier way of making bullets appear one by one on a click
in PowerPoint without using a seperate text box and animation for each bullet.
If you use Animation Schemes that appear seperately but you can't control
when.
Is there an easier way of doing this/am I missing something?

Using the "Bulleted text box" placeholder, right click the box and click
"Custom Animation". Set the entrance effect you want. In the TaskPane to
the right, click the dropdown arrow for this object and click "Effect
Options". Under the "Text Animation" TAB you can change it by the level of
paragraphs used. For example if you have three bulleted levels, you can
change the "Group Text" to "By 3rd level paragraphs".

Does that work for you?
