Only 2111MB

I have an old 4.3GB Fujitsu HD (IDE) I've been using in a PC (PII) for
years. I moved the drive to a new(er) PC and tried to install Windows.
However it is only being recognised as a 2.1GB HD. Why would this be?
Windows setup says I've only got 2.1GB and in the BIOS setup (Award
BIOS) it is only saying I have 2111MB as the max LBA size. If I
manually enter the disc settings (as printed on the drive itself) then
it reports 4.3GB as CHS size but LBA size never moves. I had two 2GB
partitions when it was on the old machine so what's my problem here in
this new box?

The new(er) machine (a P3 700) I moved the drive to currently has a
60GB and a 200GB drive so it can't be a BIOS upgrade issue can it? The
board is an Asus CUSL2 and I flashed the BIOS to the most recent
available a few months ago so it would recognise the 200GB drive.

Just zap the first track
<http://service.boulder.ibm.com/storage/hddtech/zap.exe> and redetect the
drive in your BIOS.

The drive has been formetted in DOS mode.

Format the disk using maxblast(maxtor) or something similar supplied by
the
manufacturers web site. You will need a win95, win98 or winme
startup disk also.
