Online browsing is slow with Vista Ultimate

I just got a new laptop that is vastly superior in hardware to the laptop it
replaces. It is loaded with Vista Ultimate and the laptop it replaces is
loaded with XP Pro.

I have reloaded Vista Ultimate on the new laptop to get a fresh install
without bloatware.

The Vista Ultimate laptop is much slower Internet browsing with constant
time outs with Firefox and with Thunderbird email. I am having to refresh
pages almost every other time I got to another page. The XP machine blows
this machine away as far as surfing is concerned.

What could possibly be the problem?

The problem is just that Vista is slower than XP in almost every way and is
full of crappy bloated code. You should be using XP SP3 on your new machine
until all of the kinks are worked out with Vista. This is a topic that has
been rampant on the internet for months, so please don't ask for
specifics... it is what it is.

Not true. The SP3 service pack for XP is not available yet, and does not
improve performance by the margin suggested by some people.

Try using Vista's native browser and compare the difference..

People such as yourself will never be capable enough to use Vista. You
don't have a clue.
