One user account causes Office Apps to crash

I have a small Windows 2000 Server based (50 node)
network running AD and for the most part everything is
working fine. However one user (set up like all the other
users) has developed a problem when they use Excel or
Word. Excel will crash with an access violation when
opening workbooks with several links while Wrod will
allow the user to open and save documents and then
crashes when closing. This will happen on all nodes that
I log into as this user. I'm sure it is something to do
with the user account but I am not sure if it is corrupt
or what might be causing this. Any thoughts would be
greatly appreciated.

If you use roaming profiles? they are define at the profile tab at the
particular user in Active Directory.
