One system finding old but not current shares on another

I've got a desktop running Vista Home Professional and a laptop running Vista
Business. The desktop machine can find and properly access all shared folders
on the laptop. But the laptop isn't seeing the proper shares on the desktop.
For instance, there's a share named Data; it doesn't see it. But strangely
enough, it does see a share named Dimension Data, which existed in the past
on the desktop, but no longer does. Looking at the laptop Users share from
the desktop, I see all user directories; but looking at the desktop Users
share from the laptop, I only see Default. I have no problem printing from
the laptop to the desktop's printer. I've gone through all settings and
everything's set up the same on both machines. I have password-protected
sharing turned off, and all shares set to full control for Everyone, at least
until I can figure out why this basic visibility problem is happening. Anyone
have any ideas?

Thanks,
Nathan

Never mind. It turned out to be a rights thing. And the reason the
no-longer-existing share showed up was that I had a sync relationship set up
with it. Feh.
