one problem causes another - now no page file

First I was attempting to correct an out of memory problem with Flight Sim 9
after a long downtime. I followed the instructions from the Knowledge Base
about zeroing virtual memory and rebooting. Then when I went to reset the
virtual memory, pressing the "change" button threw an error.

The error is something to the effect of (paraphrased atm): Virtual C++
runtime error

C:\%path%\mmc.exe

No matter what I've tried.... I cannot set any virtual Memory... I get the
same error. I have even reinstalled Virtual C++ redistribution 2005 and
copied in a fresh mmc.exe...

Your best first try is System Restore. If that helps you might try again,
(after making another restore point) If it fails again, I would try a Repair
setup of XP.

Try to restart your computer in Safe Mode and set the virtual memory to
automatic management.Or you can try system restore too,.
