I am trying to fix my sister's computer. it was fine until I : 1. upgraded to
ie8 or 2. needed a reader and added Foxit, because adobe and iran___
whatever did not work. ( Foxit allows the pc to read areas it could not
before) or 3. downloaded microsoft powerpoint viewer 2007 and then had to
go into the folder options click on pps and type some special codes in the
action and application field to have the pps work. ( and now it does.) or
4. I read that the quicktime icon near the time clock is not necessary in
startup so i followed those instructions and lost quicktime. so then i
downloaded quicktime. and or 5. java sun was upgraded.

After all that I tried to play games at Pogo (which were fine a week before)
and java sun errors such as " java-lang-out of memory error: requested 40960
bytes for Gret in
C:Build_Area\jdk6_14\hotspot\src\Share\vm\utilities\growablearray.epp.outofswap
space" occurs and the game will not load. Also a marker always pops up on
the bottom tray that states " virtual memory minimum is too low. windows is
increasing page file"

it is emachines, xp proff version 5.1 2600 serv pk 3 processor x86 family
6 model 8 stepping 3 geuine intel ~631mhz java 1.6.0_14 total physical
memory 256 available 87.66mb total virtual memory 2.00gb available 1.96gb
capacity 9.49gb
free 5.03gb

all listed software in the add/remove area are: adobe flash player 10
active x (no size listed)( so is it there????) avg 8.5 (42.13mb) Foxit
reader (6.59mb) java (tm) 6 update 14 (90,62mb) java (tm) 6 update 7
(114mb) powerpointviewer 2007 (61.70mb) microsoft officeproff edit 2003
(203mb)
microsoft visual c++ 2005 quicktime (74,64mb) realplayer (41.54mb)
superantispyware (15.17mb) twc controls Wie 8 W media format 11
runtime (10.82 mb) w media format (10.82mb) ( i see i typed that twice i
might have copied it twice ooops!) I will check on that.

Sooooooo what do I need to do besides look for a bigger better tower, it is
good enough for her. Are there any duplicates in the add/remove area that I
should delete?? I enabled java in the web browser... I deleted the java
cache....I defaulted java for IE.... I have deleted many pictures in "MY
PICS" but there still are 20 or so there. I deleted cookies, temp files
etc..... and I reboot or shut down the pc after every operation.... I am
frustrated and need help!!! thank-you..... bluesmusicfan

I uninstalled all listed javas and rebooted. I download the current version
of java 11.6.0_14. i went back to the games at pogo and again the game would
not load . I received these messages from java
java-lang.out of memory error: requested 81920 bytes for GrET in
C:\BUILD_AREA\jdk6_14\hotspot\src\share\vm\utilities\growableArray.cpp. out
of swap space? and a second message

EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x6d8ec2d3, pid=3980, tid=1456.

hmmmmmmmmm what do I do or where do I go now? I went to do a "BUG" report at
java but they suggested working this out at the game site. I am trying there
also but with no help. Also i see that wherever i go they ref msie7 and not 8
which I have. maybe the 8 is hindering me.?

I took out and reloaded with firefox: adobe flash 10 active x and java
