Virtual Memory Problem

Hi All,
I am a student and I have , 256MB RAM, 1.7 Ghz, P-4 configured DELL
Desktop computer with WinXP SP2 on it .
My problem is that in the Virtual memory(In Advanced option) it shows
"Total Paging File for all drives as 0" i.e. Currently allocated
virtual memory as ZERO.
Even when I set the new virtual memory and restart my computer again it
has no effect and remains at 0.
And this problem is effecting me in running LabVIEW(a data acquisition
software) whenever I runs it it stops by displaying an error that Low
Virtual Memory.

And at the time of startup also, at the welcome screen I have to do
CTRL+ALT+DEL. to move further.

Please help me how to set the virtual memory in this.

With Regards

After keying in a new size for VM, I believe you have to click
"SET" , don't you? Try it again and see if there isnt' a "set"
option there.

You should set the minimum and maximum values as the same, (say 1000 MB, if
burning projects deplete your ram), then reboot.
If the minimum is 0 MB and the maximum is 1000 MB, you may have no swap file in
use at most times. Use System Monitor occasionally to check up on your RAM and
Swap File size & use while you compute.
