One of your disks has to be checked .........

At random, maybe every 5th time I boot my computer, then at other
times 2 or 3 times in a row, I will get message...

ONE OF YOUR DISKS NEEDS BE CHECKED FOR CONSISTANCY, and then it goes
thru the routine of checking. Always shows everything OK.

I am using XP home SP2.

I usually shut down by pressing WinKey and U, U. I have tried
shutting down from the START button and have had the CHECK message
appear also.

What can be causing this? It has been happening for about 2 months now.

Thanks

Ben

not..
