on starting up computer

when starting up computer i click on my account and as my desktop appears a
window pops up an says windows cannot find
'c:\windows\system32\mainview.exe' make sure you type the name correctly,and
then try again.to search for file click the start button and the click search
.. i click ok and then another window appears and says could not load or run
'c:\windows\system32\mainviewex.exe' specified in the registry. make sure
the file exists on your computer or remove the reference to it on the
registry. i click ok and thats it can anyone help because its very annoying.

That file, mainview.exe, is not in MY WinXP Pro. Google turns up just one
hit, and that is to a URL in Israel and is in Hebrew (I think; I don't read
Hebrew).

Have you scanned your system for spyware and viruses? Lately?

Hi,

In Windows XP you can run msconfig at the run line. Under Startup tab
untick the one relating to your problem.
