On-Screen Volume Level

nHi:
I just upgraded my folks' PC from Windows Me to XP Home Ed.
IN the system tray, there is an icon, that when clicked, brings up a
Volume Control slider to adjust the speaker volume.

The keyboard has +/- buttons for adjusting the volume.
When pressed, vertical green bars would apper on the screen, indicating
the volume level, when I was using Windows ME.
After upgarding to XP Home Ed., I no longer see these verical green bars
going across the screen (like a progress thermometer) indicating the
volume level. Is there a switch that needs to be turned on or are they
not avaialble under XP Home Ed. ?

Thank you...

Probably a keyboard driver is what did that. Maybe look at the keyboard
manufactures web site for an updated XP driver.

Hi Jerry:
Thank you for your reply.
How do I go about doing this ?
Do the drivers come with XP or do I have to get them from HP ?

Thank you..

You get them from the manufacturer of your keyboard, whoever that is. Go to
their web site. They should come with installation instructions
