on board video i think is bad

my 6 yr old has my old e-machines pc and now when you turn it on no video is
detected. not even post stuff.
tried good monitor and still nothing.
no beeps
no nothing
please someone help my 6yr old is driving me crazy
 
Chances are good to excellent that there are better places to ask a video
(quite possibly video hardware) question than this newsgroup which is
devoted to Q&A about Microsoft Access database software.
