Omega Drivers Missing Stufff for AIW?

I installed a bigger hard drive, reinstalling windows and all drivers.
I decided to try the new Omega drivers based on the Cat 5.6.
I have an X800XT AIW. When I loaded MMC the TV would not play. I
received an error message saying the TV could not initialize because
some file was missing (sorry I didn't write it down) so I reformatted
and installed ATI Cat 5.6 drivers and TV works. I noticed the Omega
drivers download is around 17 MB while the Cat driver download is
around 24 MB. So is there stuff missing in the Omegae drivers that are
needed to make the TV work with AIW cards? Are Omegae drivers simply
for non AIW cards?

If you want AIW funcionality you should follow Omega's instruction on
his web site.He clearly stated that you should intslla the Omega drivers
OVER the ATI drivers.

I believe Omega doesn't include the WDM capture drivers. You'll need
these from the ATI site.

Maybe it is,I myself was a bit surprised at first because I thought it
could bring some serious instability probs, but try to do it.

Here is what someone posted on the Rage3d forum. Doesn't sound like
they loaded Omega drivers over Catalyst drivers.

------------
"I'm using: (AIW 9600)

rad_w2kxp_omega_2642_7z.exe 06-27-2005
Omega Drivers 2.6.42 (Catalyst 5.6)

tv-capture-wdm-6-14-10-6246v3.exe 12-13-2004
WDM 4.07 6246 (Catalyst 4.12 - 5.2)

mmc-9-1-0-0-dao-mdac.exe 06-24-2004
MMC DAO/MDAC (Catalyst 4.8 - 5.4)

mmc-9-03-0-0.exe 11-18-2004
MMC 9.03 (Catalyst 4.11 - 5.2)

atiCDwiz.exe 05-17-2005
DVD Decoder (Catalyst 5.5 - 5.6)

Everything seems to be working okay for the moment. The DVD player
didn't install correctly, but that's because I installed it after MMC.
The MPEG-2 decoder still works fine in Media Player, though."
