Olw Windows Game question

Windows 95 and XP had included a pinball game that I enjoyed but it isn't
included with Vista. How can I legally acquire that,? Would it work in
Vista? - Randy

Hi,

It was in my install of Ultimate. Type pinball into the start box, see if it
shows up.

Not in my install of Ultimate...

Well, that is very curious. Mine is RTM, Ultimate x64, and is a clean
install (no chance of a carryover from an upgrade). Though it's not in the
start menu, pinball is most definitely on the machine under "C:\Program
Files\Windows NT\Pinball\PINBALL.EXE".

Interesting. I also have a clean install of RTM Ultimate X64 DVD purchased
from Microsoft. No such file on my system. Also very odd that they would
have made a 64-bit version, otherwise it should be in Program Files (86).

All the games on my machine are native 64-bit (in Task Manager) and in
Microsoft Games folder of Program Files.

same here, ultimate 64 rtm clean install but nothing in the Programs Files or Program Files (86) for Pin ball.

Hmmm...mine is x86 Ultimate. I searched for pinball.exe - taint there.
Also looked under "Turn Windows features on or off" and it's not listed
under games.

I'm jealous...lol

I started this question and it appears there is some inconsistancies with
whether it was included or not. I only have Home Premium Factory load and it
is not there.
My question was there should be a legal way to obtain it. I have a legal
copy of 95 and XP? Any ideas>

Personally, I would just copy the one from XP and give it a try. A few
programs will run without registry interface. One MVP has it, though in a
very strange place, so you wouldn't be any more unlicensed than he is :)
Delete it if it doesn't run and find one on the internet that's free or
inexpensive.

I don't know of any place where it is available.

I have good news...maybe.
If you're dual booting XP & Vista you can make a desktop shortcut of x
(where x is the location of XP)/program files/windows
nt/pinball/pinball.exe and pinball will run on Vista!
Let us know.
