OLK7 Folder not visible under Temporary Internet Files folder

Hi,

I am seeing that files are building up in this folder, which is the default
save folder for Outlook e-mail attachments. I get a report called
TFSRW02.XLS often by e-mail, and it is on TFSRW02(99).xls now when I go to
save it, meaning there are 99 files there under OLK7 that do not need to be
there. The problem is that they are not being deleted and I have no way of
viewing that folder to delete it.

I think I must have a virus. I am set to view hidden files and folders, and
I have already changed this folder's properties to not be hidden, yet it is
completely invisible when I look in Windows Explorer under Temporary INternet
Files folder. So am tryhing to find out where it is and why it's not
deleting its contents when I exit Outlook.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I forgot to say I am running Windows XP Home Edition Version 5.1 SP3.

Also, I didn't say that I am attempting to deal with a problem whereby I am
unable to open anymore of my TFSRW02.xls attachments. I believe it is because
it is at TFSRW02(99) .xls and doesn't know how to go to TFSRW02(100).xls.
The message I am getting when I attempt to open or save the attachment is
this: "Can't create file: TFSRW02.xls. Right-click the folder you want to
create the file in, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu to check
your permissions folder." NOt ethat I already tried that--and as I mentioned
the OLK7 wasn't easily accessible. I did manage to access it only by saving
another attachment (not named TFSRW02.xls), though I still am not allowed to
clean out or view that folder.

Sorry for such lengthy e-mail. I wanted to rpovide enough info. Wasn't sure
what was needed.

Note also I tired just now closing Outlook and seeing if the OLK7 folder
would be visible in Windows Exploring under Temporary INternet Files but it
is not. I can't clean it out and it's not cleaning itself out...

Thanks much for reading all this,

Natelle

Thanks Roady,

I never had such great service from any group til this one. I always get a
smart reply. I wish the rest of the world operated this way. Wouldn't that be
great?? I'll have to make up some PC problems in the future if I am having a
bad day just so I can come over here and have my problems solved...

Will let you know how it turns out.

Okay; this worked for me. I used the Outlook Tools software to delete the
contents of OLK7. It's great.

Thanks,

The article also indicates how you can move the location of the Outlook Secure
Temp folder to one more easily accessible so that you don't need to use the
tool.
