OLE error when pasting drawing from Visio, KB:907659

I'm getting the exact error described in KB:907659. Is there a known fix for
this issue yet?
When pasting figures from Visio 2002 into a word 2003 doc I get a "Word is
waiting for an application to complete the OLE action." If I paste as a
enhanced metafile I have no issue.

I guess it's safe to assume that nothing further than the workarounds
mentioned in the article are known to Microsoft. :-(

A VBA solution that speeds up the insertion as an EMF might help you, then.
