I have a number of old .pst file which fall into the category 97-2002
versions. I have gone through the process of Data File Manegement and adding
the file as a 97-2002 version and it come up on my navigation pane. When I
try open it I get the message that there are no items to show in this view.
I know the .pst files are fulll of folders with emails. When I go back to
the cource .pst files I can see that they have been opened by Outlook when I
opened it up but I cannot se the folders. Any suggestions how I can get
access to the folders.

Not without more information. You can open any PST file in Outlook 2007.
Tell us in clear detail why you can't. Everyone else can.

Try File-Open-Outlook Data File and see if that makes a difference...

I am having the same problem but I am running 2003.
I tried loading the pst by the open file method and
tools/options/mail/datafiles.
When I select the folders in the I get a no messages found indication.
I tried running Scanpst on the files, they indicate that the records are
found, but Outlook cannot find them.

Any ideas?

State how you created and transported these PST files. State more clearly
how you are accessing them and what happens when you try.

State how you created and transported this PST file. Make sure it has no
read only attribute.
