Old domain controllers still showing

Hi,

I have 2 domain controllers that are not active anymore still showing in the
domain controllers container in the active directory users and computers. I
have run the ntdsutil and have removed both DC's from that but they are still
showing up in the container. I wouldn't mind having them there but my
exchange server is giving me errors that it is trying to find one of the old
DC's and both of them are removed from DNS. Any help on removing that would
be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Remember that you can pull them from the DCs OU, then go through the DNS
very carefully to make sure that you have them out of all of the SRV records
in folders starting with underscores.

Finally, make sure they are out of the Nameservers list and the domain
records. Flush the DNS server cache and the local DNS resolver Cache.

Then use replmon reports and dcdiag /v to verify that they are gone.

Use the document Mark provided to ensure that they are out of the AD
completely.

Do ntds meta data cleanup. Clear any A and Ptr records in the DNS and delete
the Computer account through Adsiedit tool. Hope this will do.
