OL98, Win98, DST.. and time lag

M

Michel S.

Hello,

Given the following config: Outlook 98 running under Win98se.

Last week, I used the TZedit.exe program to change the DST start & end
days definition for my time zone.

At 2AM sunday, the computer correctly changed to 3AM, and I had the
confirmation message from Win98 that the clock was adjusted for DST.

Despite this, all appointments, meetings, reminders, events, etc
recorded in Outlook now have a 1 hour lag.

In the past, everything worked fine in Outlook when the DST change
occured.

Why is this ? Was another "TZedit"-like patch required for Outlook ?

What can be done now to have the correct time for Outlook events ?

Thanks

Microsoft does offer a tool for Outlook 2000 through 2007. I'm not aware of any
other version nor do I know if this one will work with OL 98.

A TZ data update tool is now available. Read about it and download from here:

Good luck!
