OL2003, multiple profiles: keep getting asked for password

Hi There,

I have Exchange 2003 with Outlook 2003. My OS is Windows XP (SP2).

I have two profiles setup, both on the same domain and connecting to
the same Exchange server (just different user names, of course)

Whenever I switch profiles, I always get asked for the user name and
password, despite checking the "Save Password" box. Once I put in the
right user name and password, Outlook connects fine, and if I close
Outlook and open it again (without changing profiles), it is fine; it
is only when I choose a different profile.

There are other users that have different profiles they log in to and
never get asked for their password (same configuration as me)

I have searched Google on this and so far nothing has helped; I am
hoping someone here may have some insight?

TIA.

In the account properties for each Exchange account, is NTLM authentication
set?

Are you accessing both mailboxes with the same or different credentials?
Are the credentials for the mailboxes the same as your Windows account?
Any specific reason why you have separate mail profiles for those 2
mailboxes instead of adding the second mailbox to the same mail profile?

I checked and both accounts were set to "Kerberos/NTLM
Authentication". I set both to just "NTLM Authentication" but that
does not make a difference.

The mailboxes are on an Exchange server in an Active Directory
environment. The mailboxes are being accessed with different
credentials from each other, but with the same credentials used to log
on to the domain.
Any specific reason why you have separate mail profiles for those 2
mailboxes instead of adding the second mailbox to the same mail profile

Because several people access the mailbox and need to send out emails
as that user.

I just thought I would update everyone, as this has been resolved.

The issue turned out to be that the user did not have proper access to
the mailbox in Active Directory. I had to go in to the "Properties"
for the other other mailbox, click on "Exchange Advanced" and click on
"Mailbox Rights". Once in there, I had to add the user who needed
access and assign them "Read Permissions" and "Full Mailbox Access".
Once that was set, they were no longer asked for the password to the
mailbox.
