OL2000 External links

When I click on a link in a received message (outlook 2000), I do not go to the associated web page
This seems to be a missing link to my browser but I do not know how to a) check it and b) correct i
 
Problem found to be associated with installation of McAfee internet Security - specifically the Privacy control system which blocks pop ups. By disabling this, my links now work
