OL 2003 (XP) not responding

I get this funny message that the OL is not responding
and then it freezes for eternity. It comes back after
that and then hangs perodically. Just very slow...any
help would be greatly appreciated.

What do you do before that happens? Clicking specific buttons, working in
another program...?

Did you do a clean install of Outlook 2003 or did you upgrade from a
previous version? Do you have any plug-ins installed?
