OL 2003 Printing From The Reading Pane

From the Reading Pane when right-clicking and selecting print on a Word
attachment, Word 2003 will launch and open the attachment, but not print the
attachment. There is no error message and when clicking on the print icon or
using File | Print the document still will not print. Again, no error
message; the print dialog box does not open. Word will close normally using
File | Exit and on re-opening Word a message displays that a change was made
to the normal.dot.

Any ideas a to why the attachment will not print? Thank you.

try this: select the email that the attachment came with, select file >
print and make sure the "print attached files" checkbox is checked.
hope this is what you were looking for.

Thank you Melissa for the workaround. Another option is to make sure that
Word is open prior to printing.

Upon research further, I found that the resolution is to install Offices SP1.

Just an update -- installing Office SP1 does not clear up the problem.
