Outlook 2003 - Word opens in Reading Layout

When I get Word attachments they open in Reading Layout - which is YUK by the
way - and I have to change them to Print Layout before I can make sense of
them. Is there any way to have my Word attachments automatically open in
Print Layout?

When I open an attachment in 2007 I get a message box which includes the
option "do not open in reading layout again".
Do you not get such a dialog box?

In Word 2003 do Tools-Options-General and uncheck the box at the top
relating to Reading Pane....

Open Word and click Tools>Options. On the General tab, uncheck the box
labeled "Allow starting in Reading Layout".
