OL 2000 Frozen Solid

A

A Baffled User

Have been using OL 2000 on Windows XP (512 MB RAM) for three years.
Suddenly yesterday the program freezes solid, there is not even a cursor
to be seen anywhere on the OL screen. I check Task Manager, OL is using
98% of system resources. I have no access to Contacts, E-mail, Calendar,
etc.

My antivirus software is up to date. I can use all other software
programs normally. Have restarted the computer umpteen times.

Now that I think of it, I have noticed over the past week to ten days
that OL seems to have been taking longer than usual to load when I open
the program.

Please help!

Check the size of the data file, by default outlook.pst, a hidden file
If less than 1.6gb try the repair tool, scanpst.exe, if larger, come back
