okidata printer driver

I can't get my Okidata printer (OL 810e/PS)to work with
XP, which I just installed. Supposedly the driver, was
available on the XP installation disk, but when I go to
start > control panel > printers & faxes .... it does not
show up. Tried "search" for it but it doesn't show up.
Tried botting with printer on. Any suggestions?

Disconnect printer from PC....

Uninstall anything that may have gotten installed...

After cleanup, reboot. Use the Add Printer Wizard to add the printer and do
not connect until the software tells you to do so.
