Isidore

Due to problems on my host's server, I have been unable to access my
site with FrontPage. I can, however, with ws-ftp.

While the techs at the host try to straighten things out, I'd like to
put a message on my home page letting my visitors know what's going
on. The only way I can think of to do this would be via ftp.

The only FrontPage component on this page is the hit-counter. There
are many pages linked to this page that have FP components (subwebs,
discussion groups, guestbooks, includes).

Will transferring files back and forth via ftp do any further damage
to my site?

The home page, by the way, also contains some non-FP scripts.

The site also has a splash screen that contains no scripts or
components. I suppose an alternative would be to use this for my
message. Would transferring such a simple page do damage to the site?

Thanks in advance,
Isidore

Transfer on the pages that do not have any FP webbots code, so you splash page would be fine.
