Ok - ran NAV 2005 and found these adware dialers

NAV 2005 found 6 dialers or adware threats and couldn't remove these three.
Before I run NAV again in safe mode, does anyone have any suggestions?

Use Adaware or Spybot S&D and it should rid you of the problem.

tried file and registry searches on these files and couldn't find anything.
The Symantec board is vague, and the stuff on the web seems to point to the
Kazaa directory which I deleted long ago.

I can't seem to find this Windows/Installer/262f0b.msi file either.

The compressed file A0000765.CPY within C:\_RESTORE\ARCHIVE\FS5.CAB is a
Dialer threat.

The compressed file cd_clint.dll within ??????????? within C:\WINDOWS
\Installer\262f0b.msi is a Adware threat.

The compressed file cd_htm.dll within ??????????? within C:\WINDOWS
\Installer\262f0b.msi is a Adware threat.

Found all the files by using the view hidden files option. Since I'm
going to reload my operating system soon, I deleted all the questionable
archives.

My ultimate plan - reload Windows, ghost the system and key apps, and
then reload them on occasion, thereby cleaning the registry of all junk.

Use both and I still have the stuff. Just wondering - do you have to
select "view hidden files" in windows explorer for these programs to see
all files, or it doesn't matter because they all hidden files regardless.

When you say reload, you mean reformat and reinstall, right?

reformat, re-partition and reinstall - unless you can just re-format one
partition?

I'm tempted to just install a new 2nd hard drive, partition it, and use it
as my boot drive with the OS.
