Here they greet me first thing on Wednesday morning with my first sips of
coffee. No matter how many times I do it, that little yellow shield always
generates a little knot in the stomach, wondering about possible
complications, and it's a tiresome business, downloading them one at a time
and restarting between each (yes, I know, it's a rod I've made for my own
back to do it that way).

But yet again, all was well. (IE7 hidden out of sight of course!)

I don't think this is the best way to install system updates. Better
take a system restore point before you run the updates, or even better,
make a full system backup. You can still do the one-by-one thing -if-
anything goes wrong.

I believe you! It's certainly not the most convenient - but it gives me a
comforting feeling of control even though in reality I know I have none!
