At the Welcome Screen, hit the Ctrl + Alt + Del key combination
twice.
This should bring up the Logon to Windows dialog box.
See if you can logon with a user account that is a Computer
Administrator. Hopefully, you can reverse the changes you made
with TweakUI. Check under Logon to see if you unchecked the
setting to show your user account on the Welcome Screen.
If you're still unable to logon, boot into Safe Mode and logon
with the built-in Administrator account.
To start in Safe Mode, reboot your computer and
start tapping the F8 key as soon as you see anything displayed
on the screen. Keep hitting F8 until the Advanced Startup
Options menu appears. Use the up and down arrow keys on your
keyboard to select Safe Mode. Hit Enter.
Good luck

I must have set something in TweakUI which caused the XP's
Welcome screen to prompt me to click on the user wishing to
log on. Problem is there are NO users listed! The only
option is to shut down the computer. Hmmm
I recall from way back there is a key combo to force users
(or something) to appear on the welcome screen but cannot
recall what the magic combination is, or even if that would
work.
Can someone please tell me how to gain access to the desktop
when no users are appearing on the bootup Welcome screen?
Thanks
Vic
