offline folders hell....

Hey all got a problem I cannot solve....

Have a win2k small business server, and when I enable offline folders for
the client machines (win2k and winxp workstations) everything works fine,
except a few times per day the clients randomly get the error message:

"you have been disconnected from server X: you are offline" etc etc and then
they are really offline and disconnected

then it fixes it itself after a random amount of time....

does anyone have any idea what is going on?

I tried deleted the cached offline folders with ctrl-shift in delete offline
files, no help

what is the most likely cause of this error?

update:

now it seems that when the users get kicked "offline" by the server, they
cant even see the data at all, there is nothing there???

There is a setting in advanced offline file settings in
Folder options where you can select "when a network
connection is lost - Never allow my computer to go
offline" I think whats happening is at certain points
your network goes a bit shaky, and the computers can't see
this server. AT this point they log themselves off.

Hope that helps

Chris
